SCHOOLS in the Goulburn area have been given around $25 million of funding as the government's Building the Education Revolution (BER) program kicks into action across the country.
Work has already begun in Goulburn on the three key elements of BER - Primary Schools for the 21st Century program (P21), the National School Pride Program and Science and Language Centres for the 21st Century Secondary Schools - which will see new buildings and facilities for primary and high school students.
Head of the Queanbeyan Primary Principals Association and principal of Bradfordville Public School Eric Patatoukos told the Post that every school in the country was set to benefit from the BER.
"Every school - private, public, high school, primary - is being funded," he said.
Bradfordville Public School is set to receive $1.4m for three new classrooms and $600,000 for a library upgrade through P21.
