THE Astor Hotel is holding a raffle to raise money for the Goulburn Crescent School.

The hotel is raffling off a new two door, hatchback Toyota Yaris and all of the profits will be donated to the school.

The Crescent School's principal Peter Pilgrim said that he was very appreciative of the hotel's effort and that all of the money raised would be used for the school's Personal Development, Health and Physical Education (PDHPE) curriculum program. The PDHPE program is very important to the school and focuses on development of gross motor control, self-esteem and community participation.

The Astor Hotel decided to hold the raffle, running until October 9, because they wanted help the community.

"We have built up a strong business over the past few years and we just wanted to give something back," Astor Hotel licensee Peter Griffiths said.
