Crookwell Country Festival kicks off

05 Mar, 2010 02:55 PM
ENJOY a weekend of country style fun and hospitality tomorrow at the annual Crookwell Country Festival.

The program kicks off early tonight with the opening of the Crookwell and District Art Council Exhibition, with works collected from the homes of many local artists and art lovers.

Visitors will be treated to works from famed artists such as Arthur Boyd, Brett Whitely and Archibald Prize winner Cherry Hood, as well as locals such as Margaret Shepherd and Margarita Georgiadis.

The show, open throughout the weekend, will be competing for attention with a plenitude of market stalls, book sales, other exhibitions and a range of entertainment starting from 9.30am on Saturday.
