Goulburn Cowboy Adam Tetley takes on Taralga Rodeo

29 Jan, 2010 03:26 PM
GOULBURN cowboy Adam Tetley is set to face his biggest challenge this weekend when he goes head to head with a bucking bull.

Adam will be competing in the Novice category at the Taralga Australia Day Rodeo Plus this weekend and says he is very excited about the event.

The 17-year-old has been riding for more than 12 months. He competed as a junior at last year’s Taralga Rodeo and has since ridden at a number of other events including the Goulburn, Queanbeyan and Moruya Rodeos.

He recently stepped up in class and is confident that this weekend’s ride will provide him with his first rodeo score (where a rider manages to ride the bull for the full eight seconds without falling off).

Adam practices once a week and says although there is no stopping the pre-ride nerves he has never been more confident or able.
