The range will not replace live ammunition training but will enhance the training allowing student police officers the opportunity to experience virtual real life scenarios before they hit the streets.
The system uses computer technology and large projection screens that can either be configured in a straight line or set up in a 300 degree projection.
It will not only be used for pistol training but taser and oc spray training too. Scenarios can be configured to test the trainee’s choice of weapon and the scene played back and deconstructed under the guidance of a weapons instructor.
