Goulburn’s newest Salvos

10 Feb, 2010 04:17 PM
THE Salvation Army has new leadership in Goulburn with majors Peter and Kaye Townsend being officially sworn in as the corps officers on Sunday.

The Townsends are replacing major Sandra Lesar who was recently relocated to Cooma after serving the Goulburn community for the last eight years.

The couple say they admire the work major Lesar has done and look forward to building on it.

The Townsends are people of God and have spent the last 21 years doing His work as members of the Salvation Army.

Major Peter said he and his wife joined because they had seen first hand the work the Salvos do and wanted use their faith to help improve the lives of others.
