Image makeover held up

30 Oct, 2009 04:10 PM
ACTION on Goulburn Mulwaree’s image has hit a delay, but those behind the hold up say it’s essential.

The delay comes after Tuesday’s economic development and tourism advisory committee meeting, where members voted to postpone the formation of an Image Strategy Working Party, a decision council’s manager of economic development and administration Ken Wheeldon said was due to pressure to include the wider public.

“Some of the committee members – particularly the Marulan Business and Tourism Association (MBTA) and to a lesser extent, Urs Walterlin - kind of felt whilst the intent’s very good with the working party, before they do that they’d like to open it up to a bigger audience,” Mr Wheeldon said.

MBTA president David Humphreys said the delay was a positive step which would give Goulburn Mulwaree’s community a chance to take part in the image strategy.
