AGENTS were hopeful of selling Kenmore Hospital by the end of the week, after the historic complex failed to sell at auction yesterday.
Agents Cushman and Wakefield representative Gregory May said the hospital was passed in at the Sydney auction.
“It was passed in but the confirmed final bid was $3.8 million,” Mr May said.
“We are still negotiating with the highest bidder but are confident of finalising the sale in the next 24 hours.”
He confirmed there were three main bidders at the auction, but none of them were from Goulburn.
“They were all private individuals, not corporate,” he said.
He said he was disappointed with the bidding.
“We expected it would have sold readily today but we live in cautious times,” Mr May said.
