News that the controversial Marulan Driver Training Centre item had been withdrawn came as a surprise to the packed gallery and several councillors.
The matter only came to light more than two hours into Tuesday night’s marathon meeting much to the frustration of the gallery and the Mayor.

Driving centre operators Garry and Natalie Willmington applied for changes to original consent conditions to allow kart-racing and the relaxing of he 110km/h speed limit.
