Marulan Driver Training Centre decision delayed

26 Oct, 2009 09:56 AM
SUPPORTERS of the Marulan Driver Training Centre will now wait until the end of the year for a decision on its proposed changes following a recent move to defer the matter by Goulburn Mulwaree councillors.

Councillors voted against the recommendation to deny the changes at their meeting on Tuesday, instead postponing the verdict on amendments such as the introduction of race days and the removal of speed limits.

Cr Geoff Kettle spoke in favour of deferring the decision to allow for further investigation and a planning meeting involving affected parties, many of whom were gathered in the gallery.

“The report to council, in its current form, does not adequately detail what the modification has been lodged to achieve,” Cr Kettle said.
