ON-SITE work for the Highlands Source Project (HSP) began this week, with Goulburn Mulwaree Council staff and engineers from project managers GHD Pty Ltd starting to assess the possible pipeline route.
Council’s project manager Christian Leah told the Goulburn Post that although the amount of presentable information “changes by the day,”, he was aiming to give councilors an update on the 84km pipeline at their
December meeting.
“December is the target,” Mr Leah said.
“We’ve got teams out in the field today, and more out next week. As soon as we have contacted the landowners directly, we’re trying to arrange access for our technical and ecological teams.”
However, Mr Leah was unsure whether councillors would view an updated route for the HSP, having already viewed the preliminary course, roughly following the gas pipeline’s route up to Sally’s Corner and then aligning with the electricity easement to Wingecarribee.
