A 17-YEAR-OLD girl was injured following an accident on Crookwell Rd on Monday.
The red P-plater was travelling towards Goulburn at about 10.20am when her Hyundai Xcel veered off the road 15km from the city.
It dropped down a three to four metre embankment, crashed into fencing and landed with its left front wheel on a tree stump.
The girl was trapped for more than 40 minutes until Police Rescue assisted ambulance crews in freeing her.
She was able to speak to motorists who stopped to assist.
An ambulance spokesperson said the teenager sustained suspected chest injuries and was taken to Goulburn Base Hospital.
Police had no further details on the accident’s cause or where the girl was from.
The crash occurred some 3km from a fatal accident last year.
Yesterday police also attended a crash between a truck and a van near Mt Gray on the Goulburn bypass. Both vehicles were travelling south when the van clipped the back of the truck.
No one was injured in the collision. On Sunday at 7.30pm a Subaru and a red Toyota collided at the Bradley/Auburn St roundabout.
A female passenger was taken to Goulburn Base Hospital with minor injuries.
One of the drivers was issued an infringement notice for not giving way, police said.
Breath tests on both drivers proved negative.
