A COMPANY wanting to buy Goulburn Airport has two weeks to finalise the sale after failing to meet Tuesday's deadline.
Domain Corporation (Goulburn Airport) Pty Ltd had not met three conditions by the June 30 settlement date, according to Goulburn Mulwaree Council's acting general manager Chris Berry.
It did not have finance in place to complete the $2.6 million sale, had not started work required under the contract, including two tie down facilities and planting of 100 trees, and a Commonwealth Deed, relinquishing Council's ownership, had not been transferred to the company.
"All of these things need to line up and it didn't happen yesterday," Mr Berry said on Wednesday.
Council's solicitors will issue the company with a Notice to Complete the sale within 14 days. If not finalised, Domain Corporation (Goulburn Airport) Pty Ltd will lose its five per cent ($130,000) deposit.
