GOULBURN'S Johanna Rowlands will tackle the best of Australia's young talent over the next two as she plays for the NSW under 18s girls hockey side in the national championships.

The championships started yesterday in Canberra and run through to July 11 and the NSW side will be looking for a third successive title in the age group.

Rowlands will be a key member of the squad and has already been selected for the NSW under 21s side for 2010.

She is not the only Goulburn product making waves though, as several others have competed with, or have been selected to play in, NSW squads.

Dean Robertson and Aaron Kershaw both competed in the under 18s boys national championships in Darwin from May 26-June 6. However, Aaron and Dean found themselves opposing each other as the two played for NSW and ACT respectively.
