The 150th anniversary celebrations, which took place over the weekend, could best be likened to a huge family reunion with the sisters from the Goulburn Congregation joined by sisters from around Australia as well as representatives from New Zealand, Westport in Ireland and Rochford Bridge, which sent the nuns who established the Mercy congregation in Yass. Many family members of nuns past and present also attended to join in the celebrations.
There were also many representatives of other orders who had close associations with the Sisters of Mercy.
