Thomas' new Waterworks home

9/06/2008 10:29:00 AM
THE Goulburn Waterworks has a new addition in the form of Thomas the Tank Engine, who made his way out there earlier this year and has undergone a major renovation.

The former Belmore Park train has received an extensive overhaul, with the volunteers giving him a thorough sand back and brand new paint job. Thomas now has a carriage following him and is a friend for the other train in the children's play area at the picturesque location.

Thomas also joins the magnificent Appleby Beam and Hicks Hargraves steam engines at the Waterworks, which will be steaming this weekend.

Council's General Manager Luke Johnson said the team of dedicated volunteers had done a tremendous job at the Waterworks.
