Huge effort in the Under 11s

16 Nov, 2009 11:01 AM
A HUGE effort was put in by Workers fielding a short team. It was a hard game and only won at the very end by Wollondilly. Workers batters Corben Strettles, Ben Munroe, Jack Elder and Ryan Quigly were hitting the Wollondilly bowlers all over the park. All of these batters having to retire or being not out. Workers only losing three batters, Wollondilly’s, Lewis Walkom, taking two of these wickets, with a magnificent caught and bowled in there.

Captain for Wollondilly Maddy Mooney bowling, and a quick Luke Burton jumped to the ball making a run out.

When Wollondilly came into bat they had to pull together to keep up with Workers scoring frenzy. Luke Burton, Clay Woodberry and Lachlan Young were the standout batters for Wollondilly.
