Adding his name to the likes of previous NSW Junior Champion winners Bruce Devlin, Brett Ogle and Steve Elkington, Humphries played a smart game on the difficult par 72 course at Wakehurst Golf Club to secure his victory by four points.

"Obviously I wanted to win and it didn't matter by how many. But four made it a little bit easier over the last few holes," Humphries said.

"I probably wasn't playing all that well going into the tournament but things just clicked into place and I played pretty good.
