Railway shines at pennant practice

29 Jan, 2010 03:39 PM
THE club held pennant trials on the weekend with four teams taking on Taralga and the rest taking on the ladies in very hot and windy conditions.

The fives were the winners over Taralga 87-63 and won three rinks from four. The ladies did themselves proud but lost narrowly overall 66-77.

Thank you to the Taralga Club for making the trip to our club and all the best in the coming pennant season. The ladies also thank you for the trial and good luck for the bowling year.

Renovations are underway at the club at the moment and I just ask for your patience for any inconvenience that may occur. Coaching is available on Sunday mornings with John Ensby giving lessons to all bowlers and for those wishing to learn the game. John is a well-credentialled coach with a lot of experience. Make your intentions known for coaching by putting your name down on the sheet on the notice board.
