The Brett Ogle story

30 Oct, 2009 04:19 PM
GROWING up in Goulburn was nothing short of brilliant according to Brett Ogle.

The former Bradfordville boy and professional golfer has told of his experiences in his new book Tigers, Sharks and Wild Things.

For the 45-year-old it was Goulburn that developed his passion for golf and led him to a career on the world stage.

“It was really where my love of sport started in Goulburn, I did heaps of different sports,” Ogle said.

“I get back a couple of times a year or so, my mum Gwen and my brother Kelvin are still there.

“I grew up there and I loved the town as a kid, it was just all about sport for me.”

Ogle has certainly left his mark on the city with the Brett Ogle Junior Classic being staged at the Goulburn Golf Club this weekend.
