Harnessing Perfecshon

THE Christmas Eve harness racing meet at Goulburn Paceway attracted a good crowd and some keen competition despite the heat and on-course building works.

Rank outsider Sign Of Perfecshon – at $33.30 on the NSW TAB - easily won the first after a masterful front-running driving display by Scott Hewitt.

The odds-on favourite Waitati was vetted after coming home a poor fourth.

In the second, Flyin Crusa ($2.40) driven by Dennis Day, stormed home to edge out the $2.10 favourite Cheap Miss, with Nelson County third.

With the temperature now nudging the high 30s, another bolter got up in the third, with the $20.80 shot Whiz Bang Chair saluting ahead of Jennashurricane ($15.90) and Shes A Hall ($26.90).

The main event on the program, the $8000 final of the CO Championship, was due to be run at 5.23pm.
