A man was killed and another man was trapped in a glider crash at Carrick airfield near Goulburn.

It is believed the 50 year-old pilot died instantly when the glider crashed into another glider at around 3.40pm yesterday (Saturday).
Emergency services, including Ambulance, Police, Towrang RFS and Police Rescue attended and assisted in the rescue of the trapped passenger.
The 70 year-old passenger, sitting in the back seat of the aircraft, sustained major injuries and was removed safely from the aircraft and airlifted to Liverpool Hospital by a NSW Ambulance helicopter.
The 72 year-old pilot of the second glider was able to land safely and uninjured.
Civil Aviation and Crime Scene officers were called to investigate the scene.
The deceased is believed to be a member of the local gliding club. Members of the club were witnesses at the scene.
Police said they were waiting for further details at the scene and will release more information within the next 24-48hrs.
