The win marks three consecutive preseason trial wins for the Bulldogs.
“We had a few blokes out with injury so a few of the young guys really stepped up,” captain / coach Mick Picker told the Post.
Picker noted Dom Stevens in particular as someone who stepped up from reserve grade to produce a solid performance in the difficult conditions.
“I think our goal line defence has been pretty good,” Picker said.
“There are a few things we can work on which we’ll do in the next few weeks.”
With only a few more weeks until the Bulldog’s opening game against the Queanbeyan Blues on April 24, Picker has said this week will be on the back foot while players recover from niggling injuries.
