Police were called to Covan Creek Rd, Lake Bathurst about 8.30am Tuesday to investigate complaints that someone was shooting in the area.
Along the way they came across 40-year-old Nicholas Andrew Philips, pulled over by the side of the road with a 33- year-old female passenger in his Mitsubishi van.
When officers tried to search him and the vehicle, they alleged he became aggressive and resisted.
Police claim they found 18.42 grams of methylamphetamine (ice), nearly 14g of cannabis, 3g of ecstasy, 0.38g of LSD and one litre of gammabutyrolactone, otherwise known by its street name, GBL.
He was charged and refused bail by police overnight. The 33- year-old, from the ACT, was released without charge.
On Wednesday, Philips, of Tempe, appeared before Goulburn Local Court charged with six counts of possessing a prohibited drug, three counts of supplying an illegal drug, one of resisting an officer in the execution of their duty and one of dealing with property reasonably suspected of being stolen.
The latter related to $490 in cash.
Philips did not enter a plea and the matter was adjourned until May 14.
He did not apply for bail and magistrate Mark Richardson formally refused it.
