14/04/2014: About 2pm on Monday April 14, a 75 year old female was observed at the IGA Supermarket Moss Vale select a packet of Aspirin Clear tablets and place them in her handbag. The female has proceeded to the fresh food area and selected a packet of Coon Cheese and a tub of butter and place them in her handbag. The female attended the checkouts with a trolley of groceries and paid for her groceries and further purchasing cigarettes. She made no attempt to pay for the items in her handbag, which were valued at $32.39.
The female was detained by staff and waited the arrival of police. The items were removed from her handbags plus other items not paid for. The female had money to pay for the stolen items. The female made admissions and is being issued an Infringement Notice for Stealing.
14/04/2014 – 15/04/2014: Between 6pm on Monday April 14 and 8am Tuesday April 15 unknown person/s have attended a rural property situated on the Illawarra Hwy Robertson and forced their way into the premises through a wooden garage door. Person/s have stolen a “Senco” nail gun. It is believed persons have accessed the property from the north western side of the property, cutting a hole in the fence. Any persons able to assist with information can contact Bowral Police.
18/04/2014: About 5:10pm on Friday April 18 the male driver of a white Holden Commodore sedan was stopped on Wilson Drive Colo Vale where he was subjected to a roadside breath test. This test provided a positive result and as a result the driver was conveyed to Bowral Police Station where he was subjected to a Breath analysis. This analysis has provided a positive result for the offence of Mid Range PCA. Further enquiries also showed the driver to be unlicenced. The driver was charged and will appear before the Moss Vale Local Court in June.
17/04/2014-18/04/2014: Between 10am on Thursday April 17 and 8.30am on Friday April 18 unknown persons have allegedly forced entry to the rear of a Berrima Road Berrima address, ransacking the premises before stealing various amounts of jewellery items before exiting the premises. An item of interest stolen from the premises included a pendant containing a photo. Police are seeking assistance from members of the public to help identify any offenders. 19/04/2014: Between 12pm on Thursday April 17 and Saturday April 19, unknown person/s have attended a Carisbrook Row Bowral premises and have disabled the main power prior to attempting to jemmy open the bathroom window. The unknown person/s were unsuccessful in gaining entry to the premises. Police are requesting assistance of any possible witnesses. Any person/s with information are encouraged to contact Bowral Police.
20/04/2014: About 1am on Sunday April 20, a male person was requested to leave local licensed premises by staff. Upon exiting the premises the male person was informed he was to leave the area and remain fifty metres from the licensed premise. The male person moved on however he remained within fifty metres from the licensed premises. A short time later, the male returned to the licensed premises, re-entering the premise before being escorted away. The male is being issued with an infringement for Excluded Person re-enter licence premises.
16/04/2014: Between 9.30pm and 10.30pm on Wednesday April 16 a white Mazda 323 was parked on Prince Street Goulburn whilst the owner attended a nearby premise without locking the vehicle. Whilst away from her vehicle, for about an hour, unknown person/s have accessed the vehicle, and removed an Apple IPhone 4s and an Apple IPad. Person/s have also rummaged through the glove box, scattering its contents across the front seat. The incident was reported to Goulburn Police a short time later. 18/04/2014: About 10:15pm on Friday April 18 a 25 year old male was stopped in a White Nissan Pulsar whilst travelling along Coromandel Street Goulburn. At the time the male was stopped there was a young child seated in the rear passenger seat. The driver was submitted to a roadside breath test and returned a positive result. The driver was returned to Goulburn Police Station where he underwent a breath analysis. This also provided a positive result. As a result, the male person was charged with Mid Range PCA and his licence was suspended. He will appear before the Goulburn Local Court on May 7, 2014.
18/04/2014: About 4.20pm on Friday April 18 officers attached to the Goulburn Traffic & Highway Patrol had cause to stop a black Hyundai Elantra travelling north on the Hume Highway, Goulburn. The 50 year old male driver has produced an International driver’s licence. Police requested numerous times for the driver to produce his Australian Licence and eventually the driver produced a NSW Learners Permit. As a result, the driver was issued a number of Infringements including Learner Drive Unaccompanied. The vehicle was escorted by police from the Highway to the Goulburn Train Station.
20/04/2014: About 4.50pm on Sunday April 20 a male person about 18 years of age, dark brown hair wearing grey/black coloured tracksuit pants with white stripe, black hooded jumper with blue stripes and black shoes has entered the BWS Bottle Shop, Auburn Street Goulburn. The male has walked to the rear of the premises and has removed a bottle a 700ml bottle of Gentleman Jack valued at $50 from the shelf. The male person has placed the bottle of alcohol in the front of his jumper before moving it to his pants and walking out of the store without paying for the item. The male person was last seen running along Auburn Street Goulburn towards Lithgow Street. Staff gave chase and as a result they have located and recovered the stolen property. Police are now seeking any information regarding the male person.

Again Goulburn Police would like to remind patrons that it is an offence to remain or enter a licensed premise once you have been requested to leave by staff. Heavy fines apply, and local police are continuing to target alcohol related crime, and maintain a visible presence at hotels and clubs.
Police from the Goulburn LAC and Traffic Unit are concentrating heavily on alcohol and traffic related matters within our local rural communities and will continue to focus vigorously on these offences. Persons detected in breach of these laws and regulations can expect to be dealt with to the fullest extent of the law.
01/02/2014 – 17/04/2014: Between 10pm on Saturday February 1 and 3.30pm on Thursday April 17 unknown person/s have forced the rear lock of a property on Yass River Road Yass and entered the premises. Once inside, person/s have stolen tools, binoculars and other items. Any person with any information is encouraged to contact Yass Police.
14/04/2014: About 12pm on Monday April 14 a customer at Woolworths, Polding Street Yass has placed her mobile phone on the service desk counter. The phone was left sitting on the counter for a brief period of time whilst she retrieved her 3 year old daughter who had run off. Upon returning to the front counter, person/s unknown have taken the mobile phone. Numerous persons were standing within the vicinity at the time the phone was taken. Persons witnessing the incident are requested to contact Yass Police.
14/04/2014: Between 8am Friday April 4 and 3pm Sunday April 6 unknown person/s have attended and broken into the Toilet block of the Yass Scout Camp situated on Common Road Bowning. Once inside person/s have opened the doors and gained entry by a broken window. Once inside the location, person/s have lit the fireplace before consuming alcohol. Police are requesting any assistance from the public and person/s with information are encouraged to contact Yass Police.
Police would like to remind patrons that it is an offence to remain or enter a licensed premise once you have been requested to leave by staff. Heavy fines apply. Police are continuing to target alcohol related crime. Highway Patrol will also be targeting drivers under the influence of alcohol and or drugs. Police will continue to conduct random visits to licensed premises and conduct spontaneous RBT within the area.
GENERAL INFORMATION:
A Criminal Infringement Notice (CIN) acts as an ‘On the Spot Fine’ for certain criminal acts. A CIN for ‘Offensive Behaviour’ attracts a $200.00 fine. Police will continue to take a zero tolerance approach to these types of anti-social street offences.
Reporting crime is the responsibility of us all within the community. Police will always work to reduce crime and bring offenders to justice but as members of the community it is the responsibility of every person to report crime or suspicious behaviour to police. Always report suspicious/criminal activities via any of the methods listed below but never place yourself in a vulnerable or dangerous situation in doing so. REPORTING CRIME
There are four ways to report crime to police in NSW, depending on the nature of the information:
- 000: 000 can connect you to Police, Fire or Ambulance, depending on your situation. Only dial this number if you want to report a crime in progress or if it is a life-threatening situation.
- Local police station: You can call or visit your local police station at any time to report a crime.
- 131 444 – Police Assistance Line: You can call PAL to report minor crimes that have already been committed (crimes that are not in progress) and which do not involve traumatised victims or requires urgent attention or attendance. When you ring PAL, specially trained Customer Service Representatives will take the details of the crime, and make them available to local police through the police computer system for analysis and action if required.
- 1800 333 000 – Crime Stoppers: If you have information about a crime or criminal behaviour, then call Crime Stoppers on this toll free number. Crime Stoppers uses information that members of the public provide to solve crimes and catch offenders. You are guaranteed anonymity and confidentiality and, if your information leads to an arrest, you could receive a reward.
