From the start Old Canberrans went straight on the attack and seemed to have Goulburn on the back foot but Goulburn’s defence held firm.
After 12 minutes Goulburn worked the ball into Old Canberrans circle and were awarded a penalty corner which Aaron Kershaw then converted.
Goulburn led 1-0.
Old Canberrans rallied and after 22 minutes drew level through a penalty corner conversion.
Goulburn went straight on the attack and scored a fine goal from Glenn Turner.
Goulburn lead 2-1 after 25 minutes.
Not to be outdone Old Canberrans bounced back with two late goals to go to half time leading 3-2.
Goulburn took the field in the second half believing they could still come out victors and within five minutes drew level at 3-3 through a rebound shot from Jake Staines.
Ben Staines put Goulburn ahead 4-3 when he finished off a good team effort.
Goulburn were working the ball around and putting Old Canberrans under a lot of pressure and scored four goals in the last 15 minutes, two to Glenn Turner and two to Jake Humphries.
Goulburn convincing 8-3 winners.
Best for Goulburn were Glenn Turner, Todd Devlin and Jake Humphries.
