Under 10 Zone 2- The two Goulburn sides have dominated this competition from the start, both have only lost one game and that was to each other. These sides will meet in the major semi and on form should face off in the Grand Final. The Maroon side finished minor premiers on for and against. Toss a coin to find the winner.
Under 11 Zone 2- finished third. Tremendous effort from a side that opted to step up a zone this year. There is plenty of talent in this side and they are more than capable of beating anyone on their day.
Under 11 Zone 1- finished second. Have had a draw and win over minor premiers Yass. Without a doubt the form side of the competition over the last month and should enter the finals at full strength and full of confidence.
Under 12 Zone 3- minor premiers. Undefeated and without doubt the most improved side in the club. It’s a credit to the kids and the coach just how much they have improved, great defence only conceding 48 points all year and capable of scoring plenty of points 338 for, should be there Grand Final Day.
Under 12 Zone 1- minor premiers. Undefeated and looking to go back to back in top zone. A very big and mobile side with plenty of speed these boys love the contact with and without the ball. Their aggressive defence have only conceded 58 points whilst in attack they have scored over 400. Attitude and discipline are the key to this side.
Under 13 Zone 1- finished fourth. Sudden death football for these boys from now on and it should bring the best out of them. A tough group of kids who will thrive on the challenge presented. This team has plenty of size and enough speed to worry the top teams. If they remained disciplined could cause some upsets.
Under 14 Zone 1- finished second. The only side to beat the minor premiers. This is a tough side to beat as they all work hard for their mates especially in defence. The week off couldn’t of come at a better time as a few of the boys are injured, but come major semi time should be close to full strength. Should give this competition a real shake.
Under 16 Zone 2- finished second. These boys have beaten the minor premiers this year and would like nothing more than a premiership in their last game in the juniors. They have plenty of speed in the backs and enough size in the forwards to beat anyone.
Under 17 Girls- minor premiers. Defence wins competitions and these young Ladies CAN tackle. Been the best side all year and will be hoping to prove this in the next few weeks.
Only three sides missed the semi-finals. The under 14 Zone 2 missed the finals by one point which was a great result for a side only formed this season. Our under 15’s and 11’s maroon sides both stepped up to the top Zone this year after winning Zone 2 last season and whilst both struggled early the results over the last half of the competition showed great improvement from both sides.
