A MAN has been arrested after threatening Goulburn Police with a loaded cross-bow.

At about 8am on Tuesday August 26 police responded to a report of a male walking around Howard Boulevard, Goulburn armed with a cross bow.
Police located the male in Legget Park Goulburn carrying a loaded compound bow.
As police were exiting the car the male aimed the bow at police, and police drew their firearms.
Police have negotiated with the male before he put the weapon down. He was handcuffed and arrested without incident.
The male was conveyed to Goulburn Police Station. During this time police were made aware of a fire at a nearby residence that appeared related to the arrest of the male.
Local Fire Service and police attended the fire and a crime scene was established. Police investigations are continuing.

At about 2pm on Sunday August 24 an elderly male resident who had been away from home receiving treatment in hospital since August 20 returned to his residence on Dewhirst St Goulburn, to discover several power tools and gardening equipment had been stolen from his garage.
Police attended and canvassed neighbours as well as examined the scene with no clues to the identity of the offenders determined at this stage.
Items that were stolen included a ride on mower, Victa mower, Shindaiwa brush cutter, hedge trimmer, Makita drills, jigsaw & trolley truck.

Also, at about 10.10am on Saturday August 23 a 28 year old male entered 1st Choice Liquor Store, Auburn St Goulburn and approached staff.
He asked staff for the location of the Rum section then walked to the display in the store.
The male choose a bottle of rum from the shelf removed the lid and started to drink the contents of the bottle, whilst staff looked on.
The male then walked past staff at the counter & exited the store without paying.
Police were called and attended the store shortly after. CCTV footage was viewed and a description of the male noted by police.
About 2pm later that day police located the male staggering along Lagoon St, Goulburn.
Police stopped the male and placed him under arrest. The male was conveyed to Goulburn Police Station and charged for the stealing offence.
