Poplars gone as shelter takes root

THE CHOP: Four poplar trees fronting the Visitors Information Centre in Sloane St were felled yesterday to make way for a path aligning with the existing pathway. A bus shelter will also be built near the northern vehicle entry to the VIC.
THE CHOP: Four poplar trees fronting the Visitors Information Centre in Sloane St were felled yesterday to make way for a path aligning with the existing pathway. A bus shelter will also be built near the northern vehicle entry to the VIC.

FOUR tall poplar trees in Sloane St were given the chop yesterday as part of plans for a bus shelter and beautification works.
