With the festive season upon us, local communities of The Hume Local Area Command are reminded that Police are targeting alcohol and drug related crime and associated antisocial behaviour. About 2.20pm on Monday 24th November 2014 a Toyota Corolla with a male driver & female passenger was travelling south on the Hume Highway at Yerrinbool when their vehicle has collided with the rear of a Prime Mover also travelling southbound. As a result of the collision the front passenger was trapped in the vehicle until emergency service officers were able to release her from the vehicle. The passenger was conveyed to Liverpool hospital in a critical but stable condition. The other drivers were not injured seriously. Police believe driver fatigue may have played a role in the collision, investigations are continuing.

About 11.15am on Saturday the 29th of November, 2014, a male described as Caucasian, 25 - 30 years old, about 180 cm tall, bald head, thin build, tattoo sleeve to upper left arm, wearing a white t-shirt with & blue denim jeans with brown sunglasses & a gold trim, entered the Dan Murphy's store at Mittagong. The male used a shopping trolley from within the store & selected a number of cases of Crown Lager &Crown Lager Golden Ale & a bottle of Smirnoff Double Black Vodka. The male approached the cash registers and pushed his way through with the trolley full of alcohol without paying. The male has run out of the store and into the car park with the trolley. A staff member has followed the male and saw him join up with another male. They were last seen crossing the road, still pushing the trolley of stolen alcohol, towards the McDonalds Restaurant side of Bessemer Street, Mittagong. CCTV footage of the incident has been captured & police are examining it to identify the offenders.

About 2.40am on Saturday 29th November 2014 four young people were walking across the fields at the Moss Vale Basketball Complex, when they have become involved in a violent altercation with another group of male youths. One male sustained two stab wounds to his upper left thigh as well as some superficial facial lacerations, and was conveyed by ambulance to Bowral hospital for treatment. Soon after another male involved in the affray presented at Bowral hospital with a broken collar bone and severe facial trauma. Police established two crime scenes, & commenced investigations into the matter. Forensic officers attended & examined the scenes. Another two males have been spoken to about the incident, and assisting police in their enquires. Police investigations are continuing into the matter & police would like to urge anyone who can provide further information to contact Bowral Detectives.

Between 08:30 and 12:30 on Sunday 30th November 2014, unknown person/s have smashed a glass panel & pulled out wires and removed an electrical switch from the electrical panel and mailbox attached to the front external wall at Crookwell Ambulance Station. If anyone has information that may assist police in identifying the offender(s) please contact police.

Between 12.45am & 3.30am during police patrols of the Goulburn CBD, a number of intoxicated people have come under police notice due to quarrelsome & disorderly behaviour. Police have issued several move along directions as well as issued infringements for alcohol related offences & offensive behaviour.

Between 9.30pm on 27th & 9.40am on 28th November 2014 an unlocked Grey Subaru was parked on George Street Goulburn. Unknown person(s) have entered the vehicle and stolen a bottle of wine, nano ipod & cash. Police have seized an item suspected to belong to the offender that was left at the scene which has been forensically examined. Police investigations into the stealing continue.
Police again would like to remind the community when parking & leaving vehicles unattended to ensure they have remove all valuables & locked their vehicles.

About 6.50am on Saturday 29th November 2014 an unregistered Trail bike, Yamaha Blue and White in colour was stolen from the rear yard of a residence in Wellington St Binalong. It appears another stolen trail bike that was stolen on the 29th November from a Harden address was left at the residence. A male and female were seen leaving the location with the stolen bike, in a white older model Hyundai excel, with ACT plates. The male is described as in his thirties with a medium build, reddish colour facial hair, wearing a black and red full face bike helmet, black & electric blue long sleeve top with 'Boxing Club' motive written in bright yellow, light grey track pants, shoes, black gloves & white joggers. The female is described as aged 20-30 years, medium build, wearing black shorts & black singlet. About 11:40am on Tuesday 25th November 2014 police located a male walking along the Hume Highway at Yass. Police spoke with the male who stated he was trying to get to the next town to go to the bank. Police confirmed the identity of the male, and conducted checks via police radio which revealed the male was wanted for a revocation of parole warrant. The male was conveyed to Yass police station, processed & consequently transferred to Goulburn Correctional Centre.
