The first lunch was hosted way back in 2004 with a small crowd of 12 people, and now in its 10th year has grown to have more than 100 people turning up, according to the Reverend Aimee Kent.
“It’s a free lunch and anybody is welcome to come along,” she said.
“We have an abundance of volunteers who will be available on the day, plus we have also received some generous donations of food and decorations, which is really nice.
Also, if anyone needs a lift to the church, we have a team of willing drivers available to come and pick you up.”
So get down to the Wesley Centre at midday ready for lunch at 12:30pm.

Feeling generous?
Reverend Kent said that if anyone was looking to give back to the community over the Christmas and New Year break, there were volunteer spots available for the church’s Early Morning Breakfast ministry throughout early January as well.
“Some of our early morning breakfast volunteers will be away over the Christmas and New Year period, so there will be an opportunity for people to ‘fill in’ if they would like,” she said.
The breakfast is usually held between 7am and 9am most mornings. For more information or to put your name down to volunteer, contact Dot Keegan on 4821 4524.
