It is an incorporated entity whose purpose is resolving issues relating to unsatisfactory passenger rail services from Goulburn to Sydney.
At its last meeting at the Goulburn Workers Club on February 2, candidate Ursula Stephens presented Labor’s position on the restoration of useful train services.
Her presentation made it appear that there have been no advocates of this cause for the citizens of Goulburn.
Past political behaviour is usually a good indication of what one can expect in the future; both Labor and Liberal have done nothing about this issue in the past.
Since the CDP Candidate for Goulburn became involved with STRUG last year the Christian Democrats have, through the Hon Paul Green MLC, been in the business of agitating and embarrassing those responsible for the present timetable in Budget Estimates and Question Time.
The Christian Democrats will continue to do so until this issue is resolved.
Meantime, further to my last letter entitled “Just whose side are we really on?” I have met a very fine gentleman called John Cody.
I wish to dismiss any misconceptions that he supports the advancement Sharia Law or Halal Certification in Australia. He tells me that he no longer uses Vegemite or Yoplait yogurt.
