RE the Goulburn Crookwell Rail Trail, my sincere condolences go to those members of both Goulburn/Mulwarree Council and Upper Lachlan Council who along with many others worked so hard to have a quality presentation to obtain funding.

I have been reliably informed that the submission was excellent.
We were never going to get it as nothing to do with politics is on a level playing field. A lawyer never asks a question unless he thinks he knows the answer.
A politician never puts “slush funds” out to tender unless he thinks he knows who will get it. It is all a charade and we are played for fools.
Not only the energy and money that has been used preparing the submission but the disappointment when we fail, makes the whole experience unpleasant.
The “Bush” has no growth and they only back winners so the Politicians give to growth areas. Like all self-interested people they want “Bang for their Buck”.
They don’t bother to think that some of those “Bucks” are ours.
