The crowd was also a sea of green, blue and red to reflect the three houses and their colours: Meehan (green), Hume (blue) and Oxley (red).
Swimming carnival organiser Jane Leton told the Goulburn Post that this year was by far the largest turnout for the swimming carnival.
"We have a group of kids who have been attending swim schools both here at the Goulburn Aquatic Centre and the Neate Swim School," Ms Leton said.
"There are a number of whom have already been competing at past swimming carnivals for a number of years now."
The next swimming carnival to be held at the Goulburn Aquatic Centre will be Goulburn West Public School this Friday, and then the NSW Primary Schools Sports Association (PSSA) District Carnival next Tuesday, February 24.
