Police were notified on 13th February 2015 that a dog appeared to have been baited in Harold Street, Hilltop. A dog which was a greyhound was violently ill and later vomited what appeared to be handmade sausages which the owner had not fed the dog. POLICE CAUTION RESIDENTS WHO HAVE DOGS IN THAT AREA TO PERIODICALLY CHECK THEIR YARDS FOR ANY BAITED FOOD.

At about 1am on Saturday 14th February 2015 a 39 year old Mittagong male was driving along Oxley Drive, Mittagong in an apparent attempt to locate his residence. During this sojourn the male has misjudged the road and driven into a small parking space before mounting a large boulder which caused the vehicles rear wheels to be off the ground by about 1.5 metres. Police were called and spoke with the male with it becoming immediately evident why the male had trouble controlling his motor vehicle. The male returned a positive breath test and was taken to Bowral Police station where he returned a breath analysis reading of .185. He was later charged with High Range P.C.A.

At about 8.15am on Saturday 14th February 2015 police were conducting stationary random breath testing on the Old Hume Highway, Mittagong. A Holden Commodore was stopped and a 26 year old Moss Vale male returned a positive reading. He was taken to Bowral Police station where he later returned a breath analysis reading of .018. The male being a Provisional licence holder is restricted to a zero blood alcohol reading. He was subsequently charged with Novice Range P.C.A. The male admitted to consuming a substantial amount of alcohol the night prior. POLICE WARN DRIVERS THAT IF YOU HAVE HAD A SUBSTANTIAL AMOUNT OF ALCOHOL THE PREVIOUS EVENING THAT YOU AVOID DRIVING EARLY THE FOLLOWING MORNING.

At about 12.45am on Sunday 15th February 2015 Bowral police attended Bong Bong Street, Bowral in response to a brawl. Two males were engaged in a fight which necessitated police separating them. A 24 year old Moss Vale male was subsequently issued with a Criminal Infringement notice for Offensive Behaviour.

At about 3.45am on Sunday 15th February 2015 Crookwell Police stopped a Holden Utility on Grange Road, Crookwell which was being driven by a 23 year old Roslyn male. The male returned a positive reading and was arrested and taken to Crookwell Police Station where he later returned a reading of .171 which is more than 3 times over the .05 limit. The male was charged with High Range PCA and had his driver’s licence suspended and he will appear at court at a later date.

At 12.01am on Thursday 12th February 2015 police stopped a 32 year old Goulburn women who was driving a Mitsubishi Lancer on Hume Street, Goulburn. A positive breath test resulted in the female being taken to Goulburn Police station where she later returned a reading of .189. The female’s driver’s licence was suspended and she was charged with High Range P.C.A.

On Saturday 14th February 2015 at about 12.30pm police were called to the Bungonia State Recreational area where a 42 year old Epping male has slipped on a rock face which he was trying to climb. The end result of this action being a broken ankle which necessitated South Care helicopter being tasked to attend and conveyed the male to Canberra hospital.

At about 1pm on Monday 17th February 2015 police seized 7 Cannabis plants from the back yard of a Jacqua Avenue, Goulburn address. The 44 year old female occupant of the premises admitted ownership and was subsequently issued with a Court Attendance Notice for the offence of Cultivate Prohibited plant.

At about 2pm on Friday 13th February 2015 an altercation occurred between three males in Petit Street, Yass. As a result one male received a large laceration above his right eye. Police are investigating the incident and would welcome any information from witnesses to the incident. Witnesses are encouraged to contact Yass Police.

PLEASE TAKE CARE WHEN ACCESSING EMAILS AS THEY MAY BE A SCAM.
Police have received a number of complaints in relation to fake emails being sent. One of the latest scams is the receipt of an email in relation to infringement notices. The email does not provide any real details of the owner of the vehicle or the incident. The email has attachments that are for an invoice and camera images. Once these attachments are opened the computer is locked. The scammer then requests a fee for unlocking the computer.
