NSW Health Minister Jillian Skinner has hit back at Labor, labeling the $270m hospital announcement as "typical Labor - overpromise and underdeliver".

Goulburn MP Pru Goward has also issued a statement, posting a Youtube video online shortly before 5:30pm Thursday, declaring "you can't trust Labor on this Hospital".
In a statement emailed to press, Ms Skinner said the following:
"The facts are clear - Labor cannot be trusted to deliver a redevelopment of Goulburn Hospital. It is no surprise Labor has not placed a timeframe on when work will start on this last minute project.
“It is a desperate media stunt reminiscent of the many hospital upgrade announcements Labor made in elections-past.
“Wagga Wagga, Tamworth, Dubbo, Lismore – all these regional and rural hospital upgrades were promised for decades under Labor but what did it deliver? Zip.
“This is an opportunistic stunt by Labor - promising the world to Goulburn and knowing it won’t deliver.
“Just last week the local Labor candidate said our redevelopment of Goulburn Hospital “is not what Goulburn needs”. What rot.
“Luke Foley needs to explain why he is committing funding to a project that his party believes isn’t needed by the community."
Ms Skinner appeared in Goulburn earlier this month to announce $120 million toward a major redevelopment of the hospital.
“Pru Goward has championed Goulburn Hospital and fought for its upgrade. The Baird Government’s $120 million commitment to undertake the major redevelopment of the hospital is the result of her advocacy and we will deliver it," Ms Skinner said.
“Unlike Labor, our $120 million commitment is funded and work will start in our next term. Only the Baird Government has the proven record on hospital redevelopments - when we promise something, we deliver it.”
