“It was fantastic. We had several thousand people and the biggest crowd we’d seen in years, if not the biggest ever,” Mr Lombard told the Post.
“We were lucky with the weather, it was drizzling early in the morning and then it cleared for some beautiful sunshine.
“The stall holders were all very happy and we got some good feedback.”
Mr Lombard said activities including Tallong’s Got Talent and supervised boxing proved popular, along with the Fleece To Garment competition.
Tallong Public School won the Sculpture Prize with a life-sized Cat In The Hat.
“There were so many different aspects of the festival this year… it was the most successful one we’ve had which is appropriate for the tenth anniversary,” Mr Lombard continued.
Final figures on money raised throughout the day are yet to be finalised.
