Members of the public strolled through the police display, which featured Police Rescue vehicles and other items.
“It’s an opportunity for members of our community to come down here and say ‘g’day’ to us,” Hume Local Area Commander Superintendent Zoran Dzevlan said.
Importantly, it was a chance for police to give advice directly to the public about a range of issues, from anti-social behaviour to the importance of locking up cars and homes.
This month alone, there have been 10 reported break and enters in Goulburn, and Supt Dzevlan issued a reminder that people need to be accountable when it came to locking up their properties and vehicles.

“We’ve also had offences such as stealing from motor vehicles, where items have been left in view and cars have been left unlocked.
“We’ve had a few instances of three cars being stolen.”
