In celebration of the annual horses' birthday, Australia's largest herd galloped through a creek towards the freshly seeded paddock at Glenworth Valley Outdoor Adventures for its "Running of the Horses".
August 1 is the official birthday for all thoroughbred horses in the southern hemisphere; their distant relatives in northern hemisphere celebrate on January 1.
The adventure centre's horse riding manager, Anna Maslen, described the horses running towards lush green grass as "like watching kids in a candy store".
In sync with natural order, the herd is led by their dominant mare, Flopsy, with girls at the front of the pack and boys pushed to the back.
The herd is being moved again at 5pm on Saturday afternoon and visitors are invited along to watch.
