They've been here a few times before... and the mutual affection between Goulburn and a capella group The Idea of North was so strong it was inevitable they would return.

The Aria Award-winning quartet have 11 albums under their belt and along with a wealth of critical acclaim.
They also have another great advantage over most bands. They travel light. Their instrumentation is simply their voices - a soprano, an alto, a tenor and a bass. Even their percussion is vocalised.
The Idea of North have a beautifully distinct sound and style, but they cross many musical genres: jazz, folk, gospel, pop, classical, comedy - exactly what you'll see and hear at a concert is difficult to predict. But if your a fan of the TV show Glee, or the Pitch Perfect movies, you're bound to enjoy the show... and if you just like to hear familiar standards and recent pop tunes performed exquisitely, again, this is for you.
This is the third time that the GRC has brought the Idea of North to Goulburn to perform in concert and to run singing workshops for local vocalists.
The singing workshops are also being held at the Workers club and are open to anyone. Primary School students workshops are at 10:30am - 11:30am, with High School and Adults between 12:30pm and 2pm. Workshop entry is just $5 per student and all school-age participants gain FREE admission to the Concert in the evening.
