Police Inspector Scott Marsh said Goulburn Police attended the residence after receiving reports that two males were involved in a dispute.
Officers from The Hume Local Area Command attended and found a 35-year-old man with wounds to his arm, leg, chest and back.
He was treated at the scene before being taken to Goulburn Base Hospital.
Another man, aged 29, presented himself at Goulburn Base Hospital with a wound to his neck.
The two men are known to each other.
“At the location, police found the two men, both presenting with superficial injuries and cuts that allegedly were made when an edged weapon was produced,” Inspector Marsh said.
“Both men were arrested and treated at Goulburn Base Hospital for their superficial wounds. They were then escorted by police to Goulburn Police Station, where they both participated in interviews.
“It appears that during the assault, one man has allegedly attacked the other with an edged-weapon. The alleged victim has then taken the weapon off the first man and allegedly delivered an injury to the original attacker with this weapon.”
Both men were charged with affray and reckless wounding, they were given conditional bail to appear at Goulburn Local Court on Wednesday December 16, 2015.
