The four-day skills development camp is being held at Adrenalin Skydive at Goulburn Airport.
More than 100 experienced skydivers from around the country have descended, literally, on Goulburn with the aim of developing their skills and, of course, having a good time.
The country’s best coaches and load organisers have been on hand in all skydive disciplines - canopy piloting, four-way technical flying, free flying and wing suiting.
Adrenalin Skydive Chief Instructor Kobi Bokay says safety is his number one priority at SKYPLAY.
“All jumpers will be fully checked and appropriately briefed on the operational regulations of the drop zone. We want this to be a safe and fun event that will make all jumpers come back again and again.”
Bokay says the event will be a boon for Goulburn.
“Our skydivers will be shopping locally, staying the week, and enjoying the blue skies our beautiful city has to offer.”
All are welcome to visit the airport throughout the event.
“Come watch some of Australia’s best jumpers and stop for a cold one at the onsite bar,” says Bokay.
Goulburn Supports SKYPLAY!
The Goulburn Mulwaree Council has contributed $1,000 of funding towards Goulburn’s very first skydiving festival.
Adrenalin Skydive Chief Instructor Kobi Bokay says he is grateful for the Council’s support.
“The Council’s contribution will help us pay for skydive coaching fees and professional camera fliers who will film all the action throughout the event,” says Bokay.
SKYPLAY! has also secured sponsorship for the event courtesy of the Australian Parachute Federation, the NSW Parachute Council, iFly Downunder, Icarus, Cookie and Mee Loft.
