The Marulan driver heads the 13-car Australian Title field that is to comprise of competitors from all over NSW and Victoria, and he is looking to claim his maiden Australian Title.
Following defending Australian Champion Danny Stainer not nominating, the 2015-16 season version of the Australian Title is going to see a new winner.
Sydneysider Scott Moir is the only former Australian Title holder in the class who is nominated. Moir won the 2006 running of the event.
Apart from Tatarko and Moir in NSW, another form driver is Trevor Perry. After recently stepping into the GP Midget class from V8 Dirt Modifieds, the Victorian-based Perry has been a regular front runner. Perry’s most recent victory was the annual Jason Glynn Memorial held at Geelong’s Avalon Raceway.
Other nominations are local Keiran Macklyn (NSW), Stuart McMahon (NSW), Janelle Saville (NSW), Ron Scheers Jnr (NSW), Paul Perry (Vic), Chris Fowler (Vic), Lisa Chalcraft (Vic), Louis Rodriguez (Vic), Jason Crawford (Vic) and Tyrin Haynes (Vic).
The Australian Title format is going to be three rounds of heat races and a 20-lap Australian Title deciding feature race.
Joining the Australian Title as part of the support classes are the Wingless Sprints and Modlites.
The Wingless Sprints are one of the biggest classes in the country and on Saturday night a field of 33 will be taking on the Goulburn Speedway track for the first time this season and heading the line-up is Dubbo’s Mark Blyton and Sydney’s Daniel Flood, while the Modlites will appearing at Goulburn Speedway for the third time this season and the driver set to be at the pointy end of the field is Sydney’s Aydan Elliott.
The gates open on Saturday night at 4pm and the racing action is scheduled to start at 6pm. The canteen will be open selling hot food and drinks as well as snacks.
Entry prices are adults $20, pensioners $10, children (Under 14) $10, family (two adults and two children) $40, and Under schools age are free.
Goulburn Speedway is located towards the middle of Governors Hill in Goulburn.
