They are Jaime Craig, Archer Shepherd, Maggie Williams and Megan Schweers, who all qualified in two events plus Lachlan Gilbert who is listed for three events.
Jaime Craig and Margaret Williams attended the 2016 NSW 10 and under 12 Years State Age Championships on January 15 and 16.
Both girls did Personal best times (PB’s) in their events Jaime in the 50 metre Freestyle and Maggie in the 100 metre Breaststroke.
Jamie and Maggie both improved their qualifying times for NSW Country Championships.
Megan Schweers has qualified in the 50 and 100 metre Backstroke so far, but may improve on this in Canberra this weekend.
Lachlan Gilbert attended the 2016 NSW 13-18 Years State Age Championships over the period January 18 to 23 and PB’d in both his events, the 100 metre and 200 metre Breaststroke
He also qualified in the 100 metre breaststroke for the NSW National Prep Meet on March 12.
Lachlan had previously qualified for the 200 metre breaststroke for NSW National Prep Meet.
NSW National Prep is another chance for swimmers to qualify for Nationals to be held in Adelaide, this April.
Head Swimming Coach, Goulburn Aquatic and Leisure Centre, YMCA Joy Murdock said that it is quite likely that more of the Goulburn swimmers will meet the qualifying times and register for the NSW Country Championships and the NSW National Prep Meet before the cut offs.
“The swimmers have been training very hard and conscientiously and we are looking forward to seeing more personal successes and achievements in the club,” the head coach said. “Their last chance to qualify for the NSW Country Championships is this weekend at the ACT Championships.”
