So, with impeccable timing, the Goulburn Chamber of Commerce is hosting an international trade forum this Wednesday with a focus on China’s demand for Australian goods and produce.
“This is a great opportunity for businesses owners in the region to learn more about how to successfully enter new markets,” said Goulburn Chamber of Commerce president Alex Ridley.
“Some business owners have the dream of expanding their trade beyond their local community and even nationally, but have no idea where to even begin.
“You’ll hear from people who are successfully doing it (and) this forum is the perfect place to learn more about how to do it.”
The Chamber’s international trade experts offer more than 20 years’ experience exporting Australian business to China, and last year helped more than 70 companies successfully enter the multi-million dollar market.
“If you make and produce local goods, your products could be in high demand overseas,” Ms Ridley said.
“There are so many possibilities people don’t think about it. Many only think of products and goods being exported, but services and programs are just as popular. If you’re in a servicebased industry, there could be excellent opportunities for you also.”
‘Don’t Take The Slow Boat To China’ will be at the Goulburn Soldiers Club, 15 Market St, on February 10, 7.45am-10.30am. Register at events.nswbc. com.au/InternationalTrade or call 13 26 96.
