GOULBURN and District Netball Association netball coaches have taken the opportunity to advance their skills and accreditation thanks to a grant from Acciona, the company successfully operating Gunning Wind Farm.

This Acciona grant was allocated to the local coaches who were able to complete the following courses.
Sheree Harrison who has been coaching the open women last year and will continue her commitment to them this year, obtained her Foundation Level of coaching accreditation. Association coaching coordinator Kathryn Cudaj said that Sheree Harrison has been coaching netball for an extensive period but the grant gave her the opportunity to become formally accredited and update her skills and knowledge.
Simone Blay, Bronwyn Livesy, Kathryn Cudaj, Maree Blake-Dyke and Kylie Fennamore each obtained their Development Level of coaching accreditation.
Simone Blay has has been an assistant coach for around five years and is looking forward to a change in direction within the association.
Bronwyn Livesy coached the Under 13 reps last year and will be taking these girls through as the Under 14s representative team coach for 2016.
Maree Blake-Dyke has been coaching teams in the local competition of a Saturday morning, Kylie Fennamore has been coaching for three or more years.
“I have taken on the coaching co-ordinators position and am looking forward to assisting our coaches to advance their knowledge and skills as well as obtain their coaching accreditation.
“Belinda Cudaj obtained her Intermediate Level of coaching accreditation which is the highest level of accreditation within the association.
“She has been coaching various teams for about 10 years.
“ We are hoping that more of our coaches and assistant coaches take the opportunity to undertake the basic level coaching accreditation now provided online through Netball NSW.
“ I will also be liaising with Netball NSW to assist our coaches with their accreditation.”

“Acciona’s generosity has provided these ladies with the opportunity to update their skills which will be hugely beneficial to all children in our district playing netball.”
Goulburn and District Netball Association is holding its registration days on Saturday, March 5 at the Carr Confoy courts and on Saturday March 12 in the Goulburn Plaza between 10am and 2pm both days.
The junior netball season starts on April 4 and the senior netball on Monday April 4.
