The Canberra-based best friends from Goulburn will officially release their first titles at the library next Wednesday.
Spade/Boswell's Take You Apart is "a murder/thriller with a little bit of romance on the side," she said.
Ash/Rosevear's Warden is a paranormal-fantasy romance, which its author says is "fun, sexy and lighthearted".
They decided on their pseudonyms in different ways.
Boswell took T.J. Spade "from my favourite movie, The Maltese Falcon," she said.
Rosevear said she found Montana Ash a little closer to home: "Basically ... the names of my cat and dog," she said. "But it kind of works for writing in the genre of paranormal romance."
Take You Apart's successful artist, Caleb Everett, sees into the minds of killers and works alongside homicide detective Jack Rafferty to solve horrific crimes, set in the US.
Warden is "essentially about this modern-day hot 'knight', Ryker, who is fighting for the attentions of the feisty and sarcastic heroine, Max.
"Max is alone in the world with powers she doesn't understand, can't control [and] she's being stalked by creatures of nightmares.
"And Ryker is a paladin ... but his past has shaped him into the dark, broody warrior he is today ... sarcastic, sword-wielding."
Both women are trying to juggle their Canberra day jobs as well as keep up with the demands of readers for more books.
"Writing these books has been a fun escape from everyday life for us, to bring our creative imaginations to life," Rosevear said.
"We both grew up reading crime and detective novels and felt we could try something of our own.
"We are also best friends and were in the same extension English classes together at Mulwaree High.
"We even ended up studying together at the Australian National University (ANU) in Canberra."
Thanks to the power of online marketing, the books are proving popular not just in Australia, but around the world.
Both have made the Amazon 'best-seller' list in their respective categories of paranormal romance and crime fiction, the women said.
Rosevear is busy working on book two, which she hopes to release on April 29. Boswell's second, Take You to Hell, is due in May/June.
Rosevear and Boswell will sell copies of their books at an official release in a free event at the Goulburn Mulwaree Library on Wednesday, March 2 from 5.30pm.
They will also talk about self-publishing books, how they came to write together, and their different writing processes.
The talk will also reveal the inspiration behind their books and their motivation to write in their respective genres.
They both have Facebook pages, and Rosevear has her own website, montanaash.com
Goulburn Mulwaree Library is in the Civic Centre on Bourke St. Bookings for this free event are essential by calling 4823 4435.
