LAST Thursday a good field of 84 players contested a single stableford.
Steve Boswell survived a countback with Scott Keys with both players recording 41 points.
Third position on the day went to Bart Norris, who also had to survive a countback with Gordon Tiyce with both players scoring 40 points. Dave Ridland came in fifth with 39 points also on a countback.
The 4 cross holes was won by Gary Peterson with 12 points on a countback.
Nearest The Pin winners were Alan Walcott at the eighth hole sponsored by Merino Fuels, being 180cm away.
Alan also collected the voucher for the Super Shot on the same hole.
The 11th hole, sponsored by Bryant’s Pies, was Gary Peterson being only 34cm away and the Murray’s Meats sponsored 15th hole was Norm Woodward being 224cm away.
Ryan Dodson collected the last ball on the day with 35 pts on a countback.
Saturday saw 71 players take to the course to play a single stableford.
Craig Haynes playing off 13 for the last time spread-eagled the field with the great score of 47 points.
Brian Fleming came in second on the day with 41 points.
Jake Mitchell survived a countback with Luke Humphries and Tony Bodel to take third spot with 40 points.
Luke defeated Tony on a countback to take fourth place.
Nearest The Pin winners were on the 8th hole, sponsored by Merino Fuels were Col Lamb (only 52cm away - he also won the voucher for the super shot on the same hole).
Wayne Haynes collected the prize for the Bryant’s Pies sponsored 11th hole being 131cm away and David Marr must have thought that he had a hole in one at the 15th hole sponsored by Murray’s Meats being only 16cm away.
Steve Bricknell collected the last ball on the day with 35 points.
Next Thursday will see a single stableford being contested and on Saturday a medley single stableford will be played.
Also members are reminded that the Mixed Foursomes Championships will be conducted on the weekend of May 28-29.
Gordon Hotel Monthly Medal
OVERCAST conditions and the occasional shower did nothing to cool the hot play on Sunday.
The April Stroke event and C grade monthly medal winner was Troy Rosevear with a brilliant nett 60 off his short lived 25 handicap.
The A grade winner was Ray Turner (67)and the B grade went to Brian Mills (67).
Also in the ball rundown for the day were Royce Dockett (62) , Tony Clewett (66) and Phil Elliott (67).
Nearest the pins went to Ken Wray on the Goulburn Produce and Mitre 10 5th, Col Eggins on the RSM 7th and Ron Wenban on the Workers Club 8th.
Lucky draw winner was Anthony Cooper.
Get your teams ready for the pairs event - starting on May 22. $100 vouchers are up for grabs for the overall team winners for the three events - Ambrose, 4BBB stableford and Foursomes.

The Minor Championships are now underway with players paying $15 for the weekly comps included in the event.
Remember not to pick up if playing stableford and to play off the blue markers.
Next week is a stableford event with Mystery holes.
Par three is on Saturday May 7.

LAST week’s winner after a countback was Phil Elliott on 28 over Russell Lieschke.
The ball rundown went to Ron Wenban 27, and Bryson Plumb, Don Grimston, Tony Clewett and Simon Jiang all on 25.
