The Goulburn Regional Conservatorium director has joined the board of Regional Arts NSW.
His appointment was made at the the Regional Arts Annual General Meeting on April 3.
Two more new members also joined: Julie Briggs (Wagga Wagga) and Sandra McMahon (Tamworth).
"It is a statewide body, so it will give me a broader overview of what is going on across all aspects of the arts across NSW," Mr Scott-Williams said.
"It is a privilege to be appointed. The role is all about focussing on the direct promotion and advocacy of the arts.
"It also means I will be able to play a role in assisting the delivery of the Artlands Festival in Dubbo in October this year and I am looking forward to that very much."
The board's chair, Peter White, said the new members would bring a broad range of skills and experience to the board with art form expertise, commercial, nonprofit and legal experience together with administration and educational qualifications.
He thanked outgoing directors, Lindy Hume and Lani Houston, who had completed their three terms, as well as acknowledging the contribution of former director, Jennifer Turner, who resigned late last year to relocate to Melbourne.
The new Regional Arts NSW Board is completed by Peter White (chair), Stephen Champion (deputy chair), David Dwyer (treasurer), Stephen Bradley, Naomi Messenger and Ben Roche.
