The event just gets bigger and bigger each year, with organisers hoping the weather gods will be kind and the community will again get behind the event.

It is the school's major fundraiser for the year, with the gates opening at 3.30pm with the fireworks beginning about 7.30pm.

Goulburn North deputy principal Maureen Nixon said there would be heaps of entertainment for the whole family again this year.

"This is the 26th year for the event and it is always a great family outing," Mrs Nixon said.

"All money raised goes back to the school to buy classroom, sporting and library equipment and I thank all the businesses that have donated such great prizes."

This year there will be lucky dips, a barbecue, stalls selling food and other items, including trash and treasure.

There will be many rides including the giant slide, with unlimited rides between 3.30pm and 7pm for a $20 ticket.

Members of the Towrang Bushfire Brigade as well as police will be there with their vehicles.

Emcee on the night Barry O'Neil has been involved with the event for the past 15 years, and is this year running the chocolate wheel and raffle, too.

"Last year we raised over $20,000 for the school, which was great," Mr O'Neil said.

"This year we hope to raise even more, with the first prize in the auction, a $1000 Coles Myer voucher courtesy of Scalliwags Childrens Services.

"I thank all of the local business houses who have donated such great prizes."
